Dr. Reuven Mouallem is a patent attorney who serves as special counsel and subject-matter expert for DWO in a wide array of technical fields spanning physics, software, electronics, and medical devices to industrial chemicals & processing, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology, handling strategic client counseling, due diligence investigations, legal opinions, patent portfolio management and analysis, and prosecution of Israel, U.S., and foreign patent applications. Strategic portfolio management and counseling clients is an integral part of Dr. Mouallem’s practice. An expert in US IP law, he further gained significant knowledge about the EPC and the diversity of laws and practice among the European national systems during his LL.M. studies at the University of Strasbourg. His knowledge of the European legal system, and how it differs from the United States, allows Dr. Mouallem to effectively counsel both European and U.S. clients with global interests in intellectual property. Reuven holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.), Intellectual Property Law and Management (IPLM) from University of Strasbourg, a B.S. in Chemistry with a minor in Science and Technology Studies (STS) from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), and an M.S. in Management of Technology from Polytechnic University. He received his Ph.D. in Chemical Physics from the State University of New York at Stony Brook while he served as Research Collaborator at the Department of Physics and National Synchrotron Light Source (NSLS) of Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL).
